I am John Wright a fully qualified DSA approved driving instructor offering driving lessons in Cambridge and the surrounding villages. With 10 years experience in teaching people to drive, I guarantee quality driving tuition and a highly professional service to match.

I believe that learning to drive should be an enjoyable experience and designed to ensure that you succeed in passing your driving test. I design driving courses for all levels of pupil ability:

Beginners (who have never experienced using car controls):
I give an introductory hour free with the first lesson.
You can view my diary and lesson availability online.
Semi-starters (with some degree of driving experience or who have taken lessons previously) or Test Retakes:

My rate for driving lessons is £23.50 per hour.
I give an 8.5% discount to students in full-time education
I give an 8.5% discount for a block booking of 10 hours.
I give a 10 % discount for a block booking of 20 hours

My Car
My tuition vehicle is the 2011 Suzuki Swift SZ3. The car has a 1.3 litre petrol engine, is reliable and economical and for driver comfort has adjustable seating/steering and air-conditioning. The five door model allows the driver to have good vision to the rear and side when carrying out manouvres.

About Me
I completed my education at Buckinghamshire College of H.E. in 1991 with a degree in European Business Studies. My early working career comprised of administrative posts with private organisations and government departments, including the Public Carriage Office and Department of Trade and Industry. In 2002 I became a driving instructor and worked as a franchisee with BSM until 2011. Between 2008 and 2011 I achieved quarterly pass rates which were consistently above the 54% average for the local test centre. This success has encouraged me to establish Wright Choice driving school in October 2011.
